Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Medicine Stop uses information collected through this website, including online Bill Pay. It does not replace the pharmacy’s Notice of Privacy Practices governing protected health information. Contact your pharmacy to request that notice or ask questions about your information.
Information collected through the website
We collect information you submit when requesting a callback, contacting a pharmacy, applying for employment, registering for provider access, or paying a bill. Depending on the service, this may include contact details, application materials, professional credentials, and payment-related information. Website sessions, security records, and provider access logs may include technical information such as IP address and browser information. Provider verification may also use location information where requested and permitted.
Information submitted for those services is used to respond to your request, operate the requested service, verify authorized access, and protect the website. Please do not send unnecessary medical or sensitive information through general website forms.
Bill Pay: payment use only
Billing information is used solely to facilitate the user’s payment and to cross-verify and apply paid bills to the correct pharmacy account. This includes confirming payment status, matching a payment to a bill, reconciling the account, and providing a payment confirmation. We do not use Bill Pay information for advertising, marketing, sale, or unrelated purposes.
The Bill Pay form collects the patient’s name, pharmacy account number, payment amount, and, when applicable, the selected facility. These details are retained in restricted, owner-only payment records, including while a payment is pending and after review, so the pharmacy can verify and apply the payment without losing the account information.
Debit card and bank information is entered through Stripe Checkout, not in the pharmacy’s Bill Pay form. The patient name, pharmacy account number, and facility entered on our form are not forwarded to Stripe. Stripe separately collects payer billing information and any bank authorization needed to process the payment. Medicine Stop does not receive or store full debit card numbers or bank login credentials through this website.
We retain payment status, amount, transaction references, payment-method information, and review records to verify payment and support reconciliation. Pending ACH payments are not treated as paid until confirmed. Paid-bill confirmations may include the patient name, account number, and selected facility; protect any confirmation you download or share.
Stripe handles information under its own Privacy Policy. Necessary processing providers may handle transaction information to complete or verify a payment. Records may also be retained or disclosed when required by law or necessary to resolve payment disputes or prevent payment fraud; they are not repurposed for marketing.
Cookies, sessions, and third-party services
The website uses cookies and session information for functions such as staff and provider sign-in, security, and access to payment confirmations. Browser settings may let you restrict cookies, but some features may stop working. Links or embedded resources from third parties, including payment and map services, are subject to those providers’ policies.
Access, security, and retention
We restrict access according to staff roles and use safeguards intended to protect website records. No website or transmission method can guarantee absolute security. Information is retained for its service purpose and applicable recordkeeping obligations; marking a payment reviewed does not erase its history.
Contact your pharmacy to request a correction, ask about access to your information, or discuss deletion. Requests are subject to identity verification and applicable legal and recordkeeping requirements. Do not send full card numbers, bank credentials, or passwords with a request.
Children and policy changes
This website is intended for adults, authorized caregivers, and healthcare professionals, not for children to submit information independently. A parent or guardian may contact the pharmacy about information submitted by a child. Updates to this policy will be posted here with a revised effective date.
